BaseTRAKS is an application framework that can be used to create web-based data collection solutions that can be deployed as either browser or Windows applications.

Technical Overview

• Applications can be deployed as either a Windows applicationusing a “one-click” install over the web or as a IE browser application.
• Supports both connected and disconnected states. In the disconnected (or “offline”) state, selected data is downloaded to the device (workstation, notebook, PDA, etc.) and additions and changes are synchronized once an Internet connection is reestablished.
• Build upon MySQL data base server.
• Add-on applications and integration with other computer applications can be achieved using either Web Services or .NET controls.

FieldTRAKS Pipeline Manager is one example of how BaseTRAKS has been implemented to record engineering data associated required for pipeline integrity management.

The BaseTRAKS Administrator module is a desktop application that makes it easy to configure and maintain the BaseTRAKS configuration. Using BaseTRAKS Administrator, the Application Designer can define all aspects of the object hierarchies, data properties, activities and even create the dialogue layouts.

The Dialog Builder enables the Application Designer to arrange the data properties for an activity into tabs and columns in a dialogue form.
